About Petra

Petra

Having worked as a medical assistant for many years working closely with doctors and patients primarily in OBGYN, I have experienced many parents filled with joy over the birth of there beautiful child or children.

And now working as a Massage Therapist NCBTMB certified and member of ABMP I am able to help ease some of the discomforts of pregnancy with pre-natal massage.

As a Doula and member of DONA International my goal is to use my knowledge to help physically and emotionally support and guide mother and family as they journey through this wonderful experience of welcoming a new life into this world.

About Sylvia

Petra

I am a DONA trained doula that is actively completing the process of becoming a certified doula. My background is in childcare, having worked closely with preschool, kindergarten and 1st grade aged children. Although I found education to be rewarding I decided to fulfill my own dreams of becoming a Registered Nurse. I am currently persuing a Bachelors Degree in nursing and hope to specialize in Labor and Delivery or Neonatal Intensive Care.

My true belief is that birth and the process leading up to it is natural and beautiful. A woman is 'made' to labor and my ultimate goal is to assist her in achieving what she is striving for. Without judgement or imposing my own views, I pledge to assist the laboring woman to reach her own ultimate birth experience.

I live in the North County area and am familiar with Tri City Medical Center. I prefer to work with women that will deliver in the North County areas.
